BUCKHORN
Buckhorn restaurant Denver’s oldest restaurant. Established in 1893, it’s a place where history meets delicious food.
Located near downtown, it embodies Colorado’s rich culinary heritage. The ambiance reflects a bygone era, where the wild west was very much alive.
As you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Intricate woodwork, vintage photos, and an assortment of historical artifacts decorate the interior.
Moreover, the restaurant boasts an extensive collection of taxidermy. Here, more than 500 specimens of local wildlife are displayed, capturing Colorado’s vibrant ecosystem.
Now, let’s talk about the food. Buckhorn Exchange specializes in steak and game meats. It’s an homage to Colorado’s hunting tradition.
Their menu features a variety of dishes. Among them are succulent elk, bison, and ostrich steaks, cooked to perfection.
