How the Services Work

Only hospitality professionals are eligible to purchase subscriptions. For customers who make reservations, our services are free of charge.

Our services enable you to browse, discover, and book establishments in various locations worldwide. We offer two types of subscriptions exclusively for professionals:

How to Use the Services

To use the Services, you need to create an account with us and provide some information about yourself and your restaurant, such as your name, email address, phone number, location, cuisine, and availability. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate, complete, and up to date. You are also responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account and password. You agree not to share your account or password with anyone else, or to use someone else’s account without their permission. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

By creating an account with us, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display any content, information, or materials that you upload, post, or otherwise provide to us through the Services, such as your logo, images, description, and menu (“User Content”). You represent and warrant that you have the right and authority to grant us this license and that your User Content does not infringe or violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights. You also agree that your User Content is accurate, truthful, and not misleading, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

We reserve the right to review, remove, or modify any User Content at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason or no reason, including if we believe that your User Content violates these Terms, our policies, or any applicable law.

How to Make and Manage Reservations

When you use the Services, you can receive reservation requests from customers who want to dine at your restaurant. You can accept, reject, or modify these requests according to your availability and preferences. You can also suggest alternative time slots to the customers if the requested ones are not available. You agree to respond to reservation requests in a timely and professional manner, and to honor the reservations that you accept. You also agree to update your availability and capacity on the Services regularly, and to inform us of any changes or cancellations as soon as possible.

When you accept a reservation, you enter into a direct contractual relationship with the customer, and you are solely responsible for providing the service and fulfilling the reservation. We are not a party to this contract, and we are not liable for any issues, disputes, or claims that may arise between you and the customer in relation to the reservation. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when providing your service, and to respect the rights and expectations of the customers. You also agree to follow our anti-no-show policy, which aims to prevent and minimize the occurrence of customers not showing up for their reservations.

We may charge you a commission or a fee for each reservation that you accept through the Services, depending on your subscription plan. The commission or fee will be calculated and deducted from the deposit that the customer pays to secure the reservation. The deposit will be transferred to your bank account within a reasonable time after the reservation date, minus our commission or fee and any applicable taxes. You agree to provide us with your valid bank account details and to authorize us to process the payments on your behalf. You also agree to pay any taxes that may apply to your transactions, and to issue any invoices or receipts that may be required by law.

We may also terminate or suspend your account, or limit or restrict your access to the Services, at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason or no reason, including if we believe that you have violated these Terms, our policies, or any applicable law. If we terminate or suspend your account, we may delete or disable any User Content that you have provided to us, and we may cancel any reservations that you have accepted or made through the Services. We will not refund any fees or charges that you have paid or owe us prior to the termination or suspension.

How to Disclaim and Limit Our Liability

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranties or guarantees of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and guarantees, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant or guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant or guarantee the quality, reliability, or suitability of any restaurants, services, or reservations that are offered or made through the Services. You use the Services at your own risk and discretion, and you are solely responsible for any damages or losses that may result from your use of the Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages or losses that may arise from or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Services, or your interaction with any restaurants, customers, or third parties through the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages or losses. In no event will our total liability to you for any damages or losses exceed the amount of fees or charges that you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or 100 euros, whichever is lower. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain damages, so some of the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you.

No-Show Disclaimer:
The World Keys bears no responsibility for customers who make reservations through our platform but do not attend the scheduled reservations. Any disputes or issues arising from a customer’s failure to attend a reservation must be resolved directly between the establishment and the customer.

Payments are securely processed through Stripe. Subscriptions may be monthly or annual, and payment is due in advance. Refunds will not be issued unless expressly stated otherwise in these Terms.

It is imperative that the subscribing individual be duly authorized by the restaurant owner, and we will conduct thorough verifications to ensure compliance. This safeguards us legally and mitigates any potential errors or misuse in the subscription process.

User Obligations

By using our platform, you agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information. We reserve the right to suspend accounts for the provision of inaccurate information. Restaurateurs commit to actively managing their reservations and accepting our clients in accordance with our services.

The World Keys cannot be held liable for incidents, accidents, or unfortunate events occurring during or as a result of reservations made through our platform. Restaurateurs agree to release The World Keys from any liability regarding the behavior of our clients and any events related to their establishments.
